2023: APC Can’t Win Cross River – Dansuki

Posted on December 17, 2021 By Admin No Comments on 2023: APC Can’t Win Cross River – Dansuki
Asuquo

Daniel Asuquo who represents Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, says the All Progressives Congress, APC cannot win the governorship election in Cross River state.

Asuquo, popularly known as Dansuki, who is seeking the 2023 governorship seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, emphatically told journalists in Calabar that, “Governor Ayade knows that APC cannot win Cross River State. So, I wish that he will do his best and leave less burden for the next government to take on. The much he has done already has given PDP a clear lead. Everything you can see as democratic dividends in Cross River is from the PDP – from Donald (Duke) to Liyel (Imoke). Within the six years as PDP governor, the little he has done is PDP. So APC has nothing to show.”

Asuquo who has since declared his intention to run for governor, further stated that if he becomes governor, he will not foist his idea on the people, rather everything will be by participation and that he will continue with the current administration’s legacy projects.

“I am not happy that the governor has not performed up to the expectations of Cross Riverians but I believe that every expenditure he has made as governor of Cross River State is Cross Riverians’ money and we will not allow it to waste. So, the low hanging fruit will be determined by Cross Riverians through extensive engagements

On the state civil service, Asuquo maintained to journalists that, “If you look at the civil service we have today, about 70 percent will be retiring by 2023. So, we need to re-engage our youths. We need to open the space. And it will just be in line with the expectations we have in Cross River State.”
