Member, House of Representatives, Peter Akpanke, has used the first anniversary of his election by the people of Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Cross River State, to express his heartfelt appreciation to the people for voting him en masse, to represent them as the fifth representative from the constituency.

Akpanke who could not hide his joy and appreciation, also took to his verified Facebook page to especially ‘”count all as joy that despite all the dastardly machinations of those who do not wish our Constituency well, God remained firm for us and the wish of our people could not be subverted.”

“I remain ever grateful to all my constituents for their confidence in me, which they demonstrated through their valuable votes for me.”

“With a deep sense of commitment, I hereby restate my vow to offer representation that shall culminate in our people’s regular access to the desired dividends of democracy. I assure you all that no stone shall be left unturned to ensure that I open up all the channels for our desires to be actualised.”

“May God continue to shield and guide us in the days ahead. I remain grateful for the rare opportunity to serve my people.”

Meanwhile, last Friday, February 23, 2024, Akpanke was treated to a high level heroic reception by his Ketting community, Obanliku LGA, CRS, for his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the community.

Akpanke, flanked by his wife, receives a plaque at the event.

Peter Aniekwe, member representing Anambra East/Anambra West Federal Constituency, who represented the Speaker, House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, led other members of the House of Reps to the event which also had in attendance, royal fathers, religious leaders, as well as the CRS Chairman of the PDP, Venatius Ikem, who led an entourage of party members to the event.
