mr. & miss leboku (1)For the first time in the history of the famous Miss Leboku beauty peagent, contested for by young girls in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, as part of activities marking the Ugep New Yam Festival, more than 30 contestants are vying for the coveted crown and the star prize of a brand new car that event sponsors will reward the winner with, www.calitown.com can reveal.

Organisers of the competition, Debbis Entertainment Company, speaking through her Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Debra Rich on the line from Ugep, say the competition which holds later today, Sunday, August 23, 2015, will take place at the Local Council auditorium, Ugep.

He adds that elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch free event while also pleading that spectators comport themselves in a responsible manner throughout the duration of the event.

Winner of the 2015 edition of the event will enjoy the full benefits of her reign for one year, aside the star prize and will additionally become a cultural ambassador. The new yam festival holds in the month of August, every year.
