Group Canvases Votes For House Of Reps Aspirant

Posted on September 27, 2018 By Admin No Comments on Group Canvases Votes For House Of Reps Aspirant
Edward Ogon

A political organization, “The Time Is Now Campaign Organization” based in Cross River State says it is supporting the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, because the party has the best guarantees for good governance in the state. Additionally the group is insisting that the party’s choices for next year’s elections must be men and women who have electoral value and can bring victory to the party.

Tiku Maurice, who heads the organization, made this submission when he led a delegation of members on a solidarity visit to Edward Ogon, the House of Representatives aspirant for Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency.

At the visit, Tiku also insisted that for the first time, the PDP is now faced with a formidable political opposition in the State and Federal level, heading into the 2019 General Elections, “it is therefore imperative that the PDP elects credible and popular candidates in it’s primaries that can win at the general elections.”

For Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency, we urge Delegates for the party’s primary to vote Hon Edward Eta Ogon as the party’s candidate because he will lead the party to victory in the General Elections in February 2019.

Among other reasons, Tiku maintains that Ogon, will offer purposeful and quality representation by bringing capacity and intellectual clout to bear on legislative functions in the 9th Assembly. “He will provide sustainable empowerment, peace and progress in Ikom/Boki and will continue with the pro-poor/ pro-people’s development and philanthropy of his father, the legendary Michael Eta Ogon, of blessed memory”, he submitted.

Concluding, the group insisted that since Edward Ogon has been tested and trusted in private and public service, he is the best custodian of the House of Reps mandate.

Responding, Ogon said he was humbled by the group’s solidarity and will work at clinching the ticket while appealing to delegates to vote for him in the collective interest.
