Cross River Gets New Police Commissioner

On the heels of the recent reposting of top Police personnel in the country, Austin Agbonlahor, has been appointed the new Cross River State Police Commissioner.

Agbonlahor who was at one time the commissioner in charge of Operations at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, was transferred from Plateau State to the state to replace CP Hafiz Inuwa, who has proceeded to the Nigeria Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPPS, Kuru, Plateau State, for studies.

The new commissioner, who hails from Edo, graduated from the University of Benin and he is a fellow of the National Defence College.

He also served as Director of Courses at the Nigerian Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State.
