Ayade Suspends Ofegobi, CR-YESSO Coordinator

Ayade

Ben Ayade, governor of Cross River yesterday approved the suspension of Balinwo Ofegobi, state Coordinator, Youth Employment and Social Support Operation, YESSO, in a statement conveyed to the media by Christian Ita, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity.

Ita’s statement which said the suspension was with immediate effect, however gave no reason for the suspension while sources within the organization are maintaining that the suspended Coordinator may have lost out to office politics. We also gathered that while the YESSO programme is winding down next year, interest in the winding down and what fallouts can be preyed on have pushed “a mole in the office, close to government” to push for the Coordinator’s suspension.

Attempts by www.calitown.com to speak with the suspended official were futile as we were correctly informed that he had long been on leave before this suspension was announced.
