BREAKING: Armed Robbers Storm Zenith Bank, Obudu

Posted on November 26, 2014 By Admin 1 Comment on BREAKING: Armed Robbers Storm Zenith Bank, Obudu

RobberyIn the last two hours, a group of men suspected to be armed robbers have held Obudu town spell-bound with a broad daylight robbery operation that is presently going on, unabated, www.calitown.com can authoritatively reveal. The robbers have targeted the Obudu branch of Zenith Bank and consistent shelling of the building and surrounding areas has shut business activities in the area.

At the time of going to press, consistent gunfire can still be heard in the background. There is pandemonium in the nearby Federal College of Education as staff and students are running for cover. At the nearby Catholic Hospital, patients can be seen taking to their heels while staff are doing same too. The police in the area appear handicapped as it is obvious from the sound of gunfire that the robbers have superior fire power. More and more people are rushing to nearby schools to pick up visibly traumatized kids and it doesn’t appear the robbers are in a hurry to leave.

Presently, we are unable to ascertain the extent of damage to the bank and surrounding areas or if casualties have been recorded. Details shortly.
