… CR APC Caucus Okay Tinubu, Otu For Second Term

Bassey Edet Otu, Cross River State governor, says by 2031, when he completes a second term of four years as governor of the state, he will leave Cross River State significantly better than he met it…”economically stronger, more secure, and filled with opportunities for all.”
The governor made this disclosure in Calabar, the state capital, during the enlarged caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, CRS, held at the Hogis Royale Hotel, Calabar.
At the meeting where the caucus unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Otu for a second term, the governor thanked party stakeholders for their support and solidarity. He further informed all present that his focus remains on delivering his campaign promises, unbothered by political distractions or opposition theatrics.
“My preoccupation is to fulfill the mandate freely given to me by Cross Riverians. I urge everyone to join me in building a better state rather than indulge in divisive politics,” the governor stated.
A key resolution at the meeting was a call for the immediate formation of a delegation of eminent Cross Riverians, led by the governor and his deputy, to engage President Tinubu in Abuja over the perceived marginalization of the state in federal appointments and infrastructure considerations.
The caucus further emphasized the need for regular engagement between government and key stakeholders to promote synergy, deepen governance, and foster inclusive development across all sectors.
