Calabar Goes Three Weeks Without Water

Posted on March 16, 2015March 16, 2015 By Admin 1 Comment on Calabar Goes Three Weeks Without Water

calabarStrange enough, Calabar the Cross River State capital has been without pipe-borne water for three weeks now and counting, www.calitown.com can reveal. the situation is so dire that most residents of the city have resorted to patronizing vendors of water who are currently smiling to the bank.

As early as five in the morning and late in the evenings, several residents can be seen with Jerry cans, going in search of water. Initially, sources within the Cross River State Water Board informed www.calitown.com that the unfortunate situation has been in place because public power supply to the water pumping station has been epileptic, when it is available. Residents spoken to are however not impressed by this excuse, saying that the water provider has giant generators that should readily be deployed in this kind of situation.

Attempts by www.calitown.com to get officials of the CRS Water Board to further comment on the matter met a brick wall as we were refered to top-level managers who refused to take calls at the time of going to press.

Vote Mike Etaba for House of Reps, Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, CRS

We know who is responsible for the water board issue. For over 2 month now since the elections started the water board in calabar has been epileptic. You see water today, the next 5days no water. Donald Duke did not plan this when he establish the board. We are in pains and we can not take it any longer. Remember that you cannot fool all the people all the time. There is GOD.
