CALABAR: Three Killed In Renewed Cult Clash

Posted on April 4, 2019 By Admin No Comments on CALABAR: Three Killed In Renewed Cult Clash

The police in Calabar, Cross River State say three persons were killed and four suspects arrested as the police swung into action to arrest several others believed to be behind the renewed cult war that is currently playing out in Calabar.

Irene Itohan Ugbo, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, and Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State who spoke with www.calitown.com this morning, expressed sadness that these unscrupulous persons were hell bent on stuffing out lives. Other law abiding citizens she added have had to shut down businesses in Calabar South and live in perpetual fear because of the nefarious activities of a few.

On the near dead suspect who was arrested yesterday and taken to hospital, Ugbo said, “he is receiving treatment and will be arrested immediately he is medically fit so that he will give our men the much needed information.”

She appealed to members of the public to work with the police by giving her information that will help them apprehend those behind this ungodly acts.
