CR: APC’s Gubernatorial Candidate In Commanding Lead

Posted on March 18, 2023 By Admin No Comments on CR: APC’s Gubernatorial Candidate In Commanding Lead
Otu, APC’s gubernatorial candidate.

While the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is yet to make the results of the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections public, there are indications that the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, is in a commanding lead, as results begin to trickle in.

Field correspondents in Cross River North, have maintained that the APC has swept most polling units there while the party appears poised to still dominate in other results in the area that are still to come in.

In large parts of Cross River Central, the APC appears to be in pole position with large swathes of the district (Obubra, Boki, Yakurr, Abi), expectedly in her electoral kitty. We were further informed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is trailing in a very close second place.

In Cross River South, where the APC candidate has a strong support base, he has swept the polls with a very wide margin. While the elections witnessed low voter turnout and apathy, the results will determine who occupies Government House, Calabar as well as members of the CRS House of Assembly.

More details shortly!
