Njar

Family sources in Calabar and Ikom, have confirmed to www.calitown.com, the kidnap of an Associate Professor of Survey in the University of Calabar and Cross River State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Gertrude Njar, this afternoon in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

We were reliably informed that the female government official was abducted around the Atamunu area of Calabar South, where she had gone to drop off a friend, simply identified to www.calitown.com as Christy. “The Christy lady is very close to her, they are always seen together. She came to drop her off when men disguised as security personnel, swooped in and abducted her. As I talk to you, we discovered the pair of shoes she was wearing abandoned on one those routes these kidnappers take through to the surrounding creeks”, a security source confided in us. Her abductors are yet to make contact.
