The Federal High Court, Calabar, has delivered judgment in favour of Martins Achadu, (Plaintiff) the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Yala II State Constituency, CRS.

The court in her judgement granted an order nullifying the publication of the name of Cynthia Nkasi, by INEC, done on the 22nd of July, 2022. It granted this order after ruling that Cynthia Nkasi having not emerged the candidate of the APC by due process of law cannot contest with the plaintiffs for the Cross River State House of Assembly, Yala II Constituency in the 2023 General Elections.

The court also directed INEC not to accept, recognize or include Cynthia Nkasi as the candidate of the APC to contest with the plaintiffs for the Cross River State House of Assembly, Yala II Constituency in the 2023 General Elections.
