Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Eteng Williams, says Nigeria’s late former President, Muhammed Buhari, “was a steadfast patriot who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria with unmatched discipline, deep conviction, and an unwavering commitment to integrity.”

Williams who spoke exclusively with www.calitown.com, while reacting to the demise of Buhari, maintained too that his passing is of immense loss to Nigeria as a nation, “when we consider the role he has as a leader as well as an elder statesman. He further prayed that God will grant him rest and console his family.

Meanwhile, the late President will be buried today, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Daura, Katsina State, after his remains arrive Nigeria, from the UK. Earlier, President Tinubu declared today, Tuesday, a public holiday and seven days of National Mourning which commenced on Sunday, 13 July, 2025.
