Ijom Ukam Esq., the Cross River State Commissioner for Youths Development has extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Ijom-Abayong community in Biase LGA, for their unwavering support during the recently concluded gubernatorial election.

The commissioner who spoke when he visited the community, his hometown, also came clear that he recognizwd the significant role the community played in the victory of his party, the reason he made it a point to personally visit and acknowledge their efforts.

Ukam used the opportunity to recount the challenges faced during the election and how the community’s support has been a driving force behind the victory of Governor Bassey Otu. He emphasized the importance of their belief in Otu’s candidacy, which has bolstered his unyielding drive to serve them better.

He also used the occasion to reiterate his pledge to address the various needs and concerns of the community, his untiring commitment to his people, with an added promise to be the community’s voice in Otu’s government.

The community in her response, thanked the commissioner for finding time away from his tight schedule to pay them a thank you visit. They further advised their son to remain loyal to his principal as well as stay focused on the discharge of his functions. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and appreciation as the community, gathered in large numbers, received gifts from the commissioner and displayed traditional dances.
