C’River MP Keeps Promise, Connects Rural Constituents To MTN Mobile Network

Posted on December 18, 2023 By Admin No Comments on C’River MP Keeps Promise, Connects Rural Constituents To MTN Mobile Network

More than 20 rural communities in the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency in Cross River State are all smiles after mobile telephone services were expanded to them for the first time.

Peter Akpanke, who represents the Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and facilitator of the installation of 2G MTN mobile network project, said that this project apart from fulfilling a campaign promise made to the people, will also help bridge the communication gap between his constituents in the commumities and the larger Nigeria as well as the world.

Akpanke also opined that, constituents can also leverage on the benefits of the Internet to enhance commerce and even offer services that will in turn help them become self sustaining without necessarily migrating to urban areas to have access to mobile telephone services.

Bayaga, Bayalele, Amana, Kundeve II, Yindeve, Agonogo, Ugugu, Bukuyama, Yadoo, Omale, are the benefitting commumities in Obanliku LGA, while Bebuabo, Begiaba, Kutiang, Ashikpe, Bayatung Ukpe, Kogbor Ukpe, Ogoja Allege, and Okorshie communities in Obudu LGA also benefitted.

Communities in Bekwarra Local Government Area and several others in Obudu LGA, have been penned down for the second phase od this project, commencing in January, 2024.
