CRSG Suspends 14-Month Old Curfew In Calabar

Posted on December 25, 2021 By Admin No Comments on CRSG Suspends 14-Month Old Curfew In Calabar
The press release

The 14-month long curfew which has been in place in Calabar, Cross River State, has been suspended by state governor, Ben Ayade, a press statement circulated on Christmas Day has stated.

The curfew, imposed during the EndSars protest in October 2020, on the heels of the wanton destruction of government and private properties in the state capital, crippled businesses and made human and vehicular movement difficult.

The statement read in parts that: “The state governor, … Ben Ayade, has suspended the curfew in the state with effect from December 25, 2021. Consequently, movement is no longer restricted in the state at any time.”
