Father Of Two Commits Suicide In Ugep

Posted on January 25, 2020 By Admin No Comments on Father Of Two Commits Suicide In Ugep

A father of two children, identified to www.calitown.com as Eno Bernard Ubi, yesterday hung himself to death in his mother’s farm in Ugep, Yakurr LGA in circumstances that still remain unclear.

Sources in the area however maintained to www.ccalitown.com that the victim had serially disagreed with family members over issues that were considered very trivial. It was also suggested that he deliberately carried out the heinous act on the family’s piece of farmland after severally insisting to family members that if he commits suicide on the piece of land, no family member will ever be able to cultivate crops on the piece of land or do any meaningful thing on it. An act of this nature is a taboo among his people.

The victim has since been buried on the site of the crime, according to native law and custom.
