Front line technocrat, former Secretary to the Cross River State government and current Secretary, National Planning Commission, Fidelis Ugbo, has lent credence to word making the rounds that he has eyes fixed on the CRS gubenatorial position in 2015, calitown.com can authoritatively reveal.

In what many have clearly described as his first open step towards Government House, Calabar, Ugbo has chosen Nigeria’s Centenary Anniversary as an expression outlet, going on to mount a conspicuous 48-sheet billboard at the WAPI junction section of the Murtala Muhammed highway.

The billboard with a green and white coloured background, has a giant sized picture of President Jonathan, one of Gov. Imoke, as well as Ugbo’s, tactfully placed at the bottom right of the billboard. “It sets out to congratulate Jonathan and Imoke on 100 years of the Nigerian nation and permanently place Ugbo in our psyche”, one inhabitant of Calabar told calitown.com.

While many Cross Riverians do not seem drawn to him, his spin doctors are said to be set to explore multi-faceted approaches, including this one, to sell Ugbo’s candidature.
