
Immediate past Cross River State Finance Commissioner, Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr, has formally declared his intention to run the CRS governorship race.
Ekpenyong who made his declaration at the Channel View Hotel, Calabar, before leaders, elders, and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, stated that his administration will adopt, refine and implement the policy framework of the past administrations, and articulate a master plan to use in building a stronger CR economy that caters to the needs and aspirations of the state’s young and unemployed population, farmers, artesians, business men and women.
He also used the occasion to promise party men and women that “…the unity of our party is key in making any impact in the coming election. I’ll ensure that every gap in relationship among our party members is closed.”
The electorate was specifically assured that their votes for him at the coming election will not be taken for granted.
Among those present at event were prominent party men like John Achort Okon, Nya Asuquo, P J Ekunke, Ernest Irek, Peter Odey, Sam Bassey,Tony Undiadeye, among others.
