Former Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, John Gaul Lebo, has parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In a letter signed by him, dated May 10, 2024 and addressed to the Ward Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Adadama Council Ward, Abi Local Government Area, CRS, Lebo, Speaker of the 8th Assembly, states thus: “I wish to communicate my resignation as member of the PDP at all levels. I appreciate the opportunity and platform offered me by the party in the last few years. I wish you the best.”

Lebo, a political product of former CRS governor, Liyel Imoke’s political group, has with this resignation abandoned the former governor and appears set to face a political future without Imoke’s guidance and direction. In a short SMS exchange early this morning with www.calitown.com, while he confirmed his resignation, he did not immediately point us to his next political destination, even though there is word around that he is heading for the APC. Lebo simply wrote in to say, “I just need a political sabbatical and to create a holding environment for new Direction.”
