Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade will tomorrow, Thursday, October 19, 2017, swear in Justice Michael Edem as the Chief Judge of Cross River State in a ceremony billed for 11 am in the Executive Council Chambers, Governor’s Office, Calabar.

Edem’s who has been the Acting Chief Judge of the state, following the demise of the former Chief Judge, Justice Okoi Ikpi Itam, in March this year, was confirmed Chief Judge of the state after Gov. Ayade forwarded his appointment to the Cross River State House of Assembly for confirmation.

We also gathered that a reception in his honour will hold immediately after his swearing-in at the Judiciary Headquarters, Mary Slessor Road, Calabar.
