William lies bedridden at the Moniaya Hospital, Ogoja.

This is Williams Adora Edohoket, the only child of Margaret Oyoung Adaora, a retired Chief Nursing Officer from Obubra, Cross River State. A couple of years ago, he set out to be a Catholic priest and trained at the famous Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu. Along the line, Willie, as he is popularly called, opted out of the training for personal reasons, just inches away from his Diaconate ordination.

After leaving the seminary, he enrolled in the National Youth Service scheme and served his nation meritorously. He came back to Calabar and picked up a post-graduate qualification from the University of Calabar.

He was involved in a ghastly motor accident on his way to Obubra, from Calabar, where he was to attend a burial. His friend who drove the car, a former Leader of the Obubra Legislative Council, lost his life. Willie survived the accident but appears to have lost his spinal cord.

Willie is presently confined to a sick bed at the Moniaya Hospital, Ogoja, Cross River State, catered to by a teary-eyed mother who had helped Willie process his travel documents to the USA, where he was to pursue further studies, two weeks before this tragic story unfolded.

JOIN the “WILLIE NEEDS HELP CAMPAIGN” and make a donation to ACCOUNT NO: 2006191449, ACCOUNT NAME: MARGARET OYOUNG ADAORA @ any branch of FIRST BANK PLC.

Willie can sure do with some help.
