Reports gathered by www.calitown.com show that PDP candidate, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has clinched the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency seat, North of Cross River State. He is believed to have garnered 45,792 votes, while his closest opponent, Akpang Obi Odu scooped up a distant 6,539 votes. The APC candidate scored 3,324 votes and the Independent Democrats candidate, 47 votes.

Apparently elated at his victory, Jarigbe took to Facebook to say thus; “I can’t find words to express my profound gratitude to the good people of Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency, for the tremendous support given to me at the polls. I have just been announced winner of the House of Reps Elections with 90% of the total valid votes. I must say I am humbled and promise to represent my people with empathy. For my fellow contestants, I wish to thank you for the violent free approach to our elections. Let’s join hands and move Ogoja / Yala forward as I am poised to leave Legacies for our children. Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!”.
