The Calabar Golden Lions Club has commended CR Commissioner of Finance, Takis Caifas, for the dedication to duty that he continuously shows in the discharge of his function as Commissioner, his diligence to service as well as his commitment to excellence in all his undertakings.

The commendation was made by the Charter President of the club, Lion (Hon) Favour Archibong when she presented a plaque to the Commissioner in his office. Archibong who was accompanied by some members of the club prayed that the club’s Award of Excellence will further spur the Commissioner to do more and in the process positively affect the lives of people within and far from him.

Responding, the Commissioner expressed delight at the honour done him and prayed too that God will continue to guide and direct the Calabar Golden Lions Club to follow her dreams and make the world a better place.

The award ceremony which was held on Saturday,  March 8, 2014, at the African Club, Calabar, also had former Gov. Donald Duke, Board Chairman, CRS Water Board, Gershom Bassey, Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Edak Iwuchukwu, among others, on the honours list.
