Arrangements have been concluded for the internment of the Late Felix Onun Okoi, a retired Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, who passed away early this month after a protracted illness.

A release made available to www.calitown.com shows that there will be a service of songs in his Ekorinim, Calabar residence on Thursday, May 15, 2014, beginning in the evening. The body of the deceased will be conveyed to his native Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, the following day for an all-night Christian wake. Okoi will be interred on Saturday, May 17, 2014, after Catholic burial ceremonies in Ugep.

Born on September 10, 1948, Felix Okoi attended schools in Ugep, thereafter beginning employment with the defunct South Eastern State Marketing Board in 1970. He taught at the then School of Basic Studies, Awi, Akamkpa, CRS before joining the Ministry of Internal Affairs on March 8, 1987, serving as an Immigration officer in Bauchi, Plateau, Kaduna, Edo and Delta state commands, among others, before retiring in 2005. He is survived by his children, brothers, sisters and relations.
