Sen. Sandy Onor And The Return Of “Power To The People”

Posted on January 6, 2023January 6, 2023 By Admin No Comments on Sen. Sandy Onor And The Return Of “Power To The People”
By Felix Ibiang

Like many other Cross Riverians, I have experienced my own palpable bouts of severe anxieties about how it seemed the once upwardly mobile destiny of our State has nose dived irretrievably.

I feared that the unprecedented defection of the Governor and other critical Party leaders to other Parties at that time, had dealt irreparable damage to any hope of redemption for us as a State.

I feared even more, that all the “good men” had grown weary and disgruntled and as a consequence, abandoned the thankless job of “fighting for us”.

To the contrary however, the lull soon fizzled out and even I, learnt the farmer’s great lesson that for any planted seed to germinate and experience full bloom, it must first suffer rot beneath the soil.

After that initial brief moment of uncertainty, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) sprang back to its full glory in Cross River State, reclaiming the steering wheel to prosperity and resuscitating my optimism once again, in the future of Cross River State.

Among the many critical political events that took place during that transitional moment, one of the most significant included, the cheering news that the Original Caterpillar, Distinguished Senator Sandy Ojang Onor, finally emerged through a credible, transparent democratic process, adjudged by all to be free and fair, as PDP Candidate, to contest for the office of Cross River State Governor in 2023.

Since that momentous feat, my subdued hopes regained a renewed flicker. It suddenly hit me once again, that a sustainable future for Cross River State still remains within our sights and grasps.

I am absolutely happier now, because all revelations from my infallible crystal ball, reveals that with Senator Sandy Onor as Governor, Cross River State will surely return to that familiar path that leads to a better future.

My reasons for this untainted optimism include:

– Senator Sandy Onor has maintained consistency as an embodiment of integrity, honour, insight and foresight. To the admiration of many, he has carved an enviable reputation for himself as a first rate Cross Riverian and Nigerian. At all levels, he has remained a firm, principled and visionary achiever and a reputable ambassador of the unique quality that Cross River State offers.

– As an influential political leader and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Sandy Onor has been an awesome exemplar in parliamentary excellence, people empowerment and philanthropy.

– He has attracted impactful projects to his constituency. He has supported and mentored many flourishing careers.

– He has lavished massive share of political appointments on his constituents,

– He has distributed uncountable number of solar energy lights across the Central Senatorial District, to improve power supply services,

– He has given out grants to CrossRiverians to start or grow their businesses,

– He has donated motorcycles, tricycles, cars and other
vehicles to individuals, corporate organisations, multiple religious denominations and affiliations.

– To show his respect for the dignity of the rural man/woman and their labour, and to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among rural dwellers, Senator Sandy Onor has constructed critical access roads and bridges in community hinterlands with challenging terrains, to ease movement of crops and farm produce by local farmers.

– To prove his deep love for Cross River State, Senator Sandy Onor has always worked and sacrificed tirelessly with other great patriots, to establish Cross River State on a path that leads to socio-economic prosperity.

Because of his pedigree of accomplishments in the holistic development of Cross River State, his consistent support for any cause that seeks to prime humanity to loftier heights and his passion for issues concerning Cross Riverians, we are confident to recommend him capable and acceptable to assume the onerous responsibility of Governor of Cross River State from 2023.

With Executive control of things, Senator Sandy Onor would superintendent and implement tangible result oriented goals for the greater advancement of our dear State.

Let us all Support Senator Sandy Onor for Governor. Let’s bring back Cross River State to what it use to be.
