SS I Student Drowns In Ugep, CRS

Tragedy struck as a senior secondary I student of Community Secondary School, Ugep, Cross River State, simply identified to www.calitown.com as Victory, drowned in Ugep yesterday, we can report.

Competent sources in the area informed that Victory, his brother and two others, who had accompanied their mother to farm, went to the nearby stream for a swim when tragedy struck. Shortly after the young boy dived into the stream, his brother and friends realised that he hadn’t surfaced. The now panicking set of boys raised alarm, attracting a small crowd of adults to the stream who attempted to save Victory’s life.

Divers worked for a while before fishing out the lifeless body of the deceased, prompting a show of grief as the mother of the deceased cried uncontrollably. The victim has since been buried.
