Saturday, October 26, 2024, has been announced as the burial date for former Attorney General of Cross River State, Tanko Ashang, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.

Ashang died on October 8, 2024 in Abuja, while getting ready for work.

His journey to the great beyond will begin on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, with a requiem mass in his honor at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, Abuja. Mass begins at 4 p.m.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, a valedictory court session will hold at the High Court of Cross River State, Obudu at 4 p.m, while a wake takes place at his Sankwala residence, Obanliku Local Government Area, Cross River State from 6 p.m.

A funeral mass will commence at 9 a.m, Saturday October 26, 2024, followed immediately by internment. At the Mater Redemtoris Catholic Church, Sankwala, Obanliku at 9 a.m, next day, Sunday, October 27, 2024, a thanksgiving mass will wrap up Ashang’s funeral obsequies.
