“The People In Govt, Cannot Even Get The Taps To Run In Cross River After Two Years” – CR PDP Chieftain!

Atu, PDP Chieftain.

In a reaction to the ongoing gale of defections in Cross River State, from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, a chietain of the PDP in Cross River State says “the people in government, cannot even get taps to run in Cross River State after two years.”

Eko Atu, who took to his verified Facebook page, writing under the caption, “Has the Opposition Collapsed?”…to address the defections to the APC, maintained that he was responding “to find out; with the collapse of the opposition, if the prices of basic food items has collapsed?”

“But my findings indicate that a basin of garri is averaging 35-38k. So an average civil servant may not be able to afford a basin of garri to feed his family in a month, not to talk of paying children’s school fees, paying house rent, buying water…”, he stated.

“As we speak, there are communities in Akamkpa that are cut off as a result of the inaccessible roads. In some of the communities, children don’t go to school, because teachers have refused going to teach in those communities. These are the people who have collapsed.”

Atu further lashes out at people in government thus: “For some who are pretending today, let me remind you that it was the opposition who constructed roads to your communities for the greater good. You as major players, what have you done to build Cross River? I see you gloat over renovating other people’s projects. Are there any new ones you have built in your half year in government?”

In the health sector, he came specific. “As we speak not a dialysis machine is working in Cross River State. Yet people are going through excruciating pains. Those are the people who are collapsing, not the opposition.”

“Even where you go to hold your monthly prayer session was built by the collapsed opposition. Even you was made by the opposition.” The former Abi LG Council chairman ended his writing by philosophically saying, “when a child taunts the parents he/she may never end well. Be careful!”

We hope that this will act as a positive reminder that the rural communities should not be forgotten.
Every government have their priorities right. Except the last government that missed their projects for grammar and English. However we the elders on behalf of the people forgive……
