50 Federal Board Appointments For CRS

Posted on December 8, 2015 By Admin No Comments on 50 Federal Board Appointments For CRS

Sources close to the National Vice-Chairman, South-South, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hillard Eta, maintain that the APC chieftain has given his words that 50 Federal board appointments will come to Cross River State, as a demonstration of the APC’s commitment to exposing citizens of the state to national engagements as well as to better the lot of ordinary Cross Riverians.

Eta who is also on the Presidential Committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari, to reconstitute federal boards, parastatals, commissions and agencies, is said to be under pressure to reward party faithfuls with these appointments as the APC seeks to penetrate CRS.

It was further discovered by www.calitown.com that already, a shortlist of persons to fill board appointments in the state is being put together by powerful figures within the APC. Of this figure, there is word going around that the Southern and Central senatorial districts of the state may grab 20 positions each, while the North of the state may settle for 10. The disparity is not unrelated to the fact that state governor, “…Ben Ayade and a huge chunk of his political appointees are from the Northern senatorial district, so it may become necessary to balance whatever loopsidedness we have perceived in his appointments by having more board members come from the Central and Southern senatorial districts”, one party faithful said.
