CRSHA Members Protest, Refuse To Reconvene!

Posted on September 16, 2019 By Admin No Comments on CRSHA Members Protest, Refuse To Reconvene!

While the Cross River State House of Assembly was scheduled to reconvene today, Monday, September 16, 2019, www.calitown.com can authoritatively inform that members of the House have refused to reconvene after a one month recess.

We gathered on investigations that the refusal to reconvene is in protest over the non-payment of their statutory finances by the Cross River State Government dating back to when the Assembly was inaugurated. It was also discovered that government is yet to make official vehicles available to members to help them function effectively.

At the Assembly complex this morning, some members sighted were unwilling to comment on their refusal to reconvene but showed clearly with their body language that a sit back is in place. Additionally, the refusal to reconvene may have been timed to coincide with the arrival of state governor, Ben Ayade, to the state after a short travel break from running state affairs.

More details shortly…
