Two Former Aides In Gov. Ayàde’s Soup Over Diverted N2 Million Gift!

Ayade

We have been reliably informed by Government House sources that two former aides of the Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, have incurred the wrath of the governor, over a paltry N2 million gift from the governor that the two aides intercepted and shared between them.

We gathered that Ayade, impressed by the published literary work of one of his supporters in Boki LGA, sent the money to the said supporter, through the duo, as a personal donation to the author for his work but the money never got to its destination as the two aides promptly shared the money among themselves and kept mum.

Just days ago, when the governor hosted PDP stakeholders from Boki LGA, the said supporter, (acting on a tip off) while interacting with the governor, thanked the governor for the gift and went further to inform him in very clear terms that the money never got to him. Taken aback, Ayade we again gathered, drew the attention of the two former aides to the allegation. Their body language clearly told the governor that the allegation was true. A visibly irked Ayade, is said to have told off the culprits and apologized to his guest for this anomaly.

“Since it was the governor who made the pledge and sent money that these men shared among themselves, he made another N2 million donation to the supporter, but this time directly and even gave the man a retinue of security men to accompany him and the money to a safe place. It was a very petty and embarrassing act by these men. I think they didn’t in their wildest imagination believe that this man will ever have access to the governor and broach this issue. I can certainly tell you that His Excellency cannot have political dealings with these two men again”, we were told.

Pressed for names, the source maintained that, “if you ask PDP stakeholders from Boki LGA about the names, they will gladly tell you their names. I can only tell you that the two former aides are prominent Boki political sons.”
