Ubi Ettah a.k.a Bomboy

Ubi Itam Ettah, former Chairman, Yakurr Local Government Council was late Monday evening kidnapped in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, by unknown gunmen.

Family sources contacted by www.calitown.com revealed that Ettah, popularly known as Bomboy, was abducted by five fierce gun weilding men from his fuel service station on the very busy Ikom/Calabar highway, close to the Ediba junction in Ugep. “He was sitting at this station when the vehicle arrived and five men came out and immediately displayed assault rifles. Several motorcyclists who were buying petrol, abandoned their bikes and took off while the men grabbed Bomboy, pushed him into the vehicle and drove to the Ediba junction, turned right and drove off with him”, we were told.

Groups of sympathizers and his large retinue of followers were still visible at the station at the time of this report. Family sources have however informed that his abductors are yet to establish contact.
