CALABAR: Killer Vehicle Papers Had Long Expired!

Posted on December 29, 2022December 29, 2022 By Admin No Comments on CALABAR: Killer Vehicle Papers Had Long Expired!
The vehicle after the accident.

While the police in Calabar, Cross River State, have confirmed the arrest and detention of the male adult, driver of the vehicle responsible for the carnage in the Bogobiri area of the municipality, during the Calabar Biker’s Carnival, competent sources within the city, working with the www.calitown.com investigations team, can reveal that the papers of the vehicle involved in the accident, had long expired and were not renewed.

The vehicle, a Toyota, our investigations show is registered to one OSIM, EMMANUEL EFFIOM, without a house address. The plate number is DUK 505 PE, with chassis number, 4TBK32K12U503910 and license number, VR22720210329122030. But amazingly, the papers of this vehicle, we discovered, were due for renewal on March 24, 2022, nine months before this carnage.

We can also confirm that while talk in several quarters appear to suspect that the driver of the vehicle may have acted under the influence of yet to be identified drug substances and/or alcohol, a toxicology test is yet to be carried out on the driver, to ascertain the true state of things. Police sources have so far volunteered no further information.
