Peter Akpanke Commends Legor Idagbo For Withdrawing NASS Election Petition

Posted on April 11, 2023 By Admin No Comments on Peter Akpanke Commends Legor Idagbo For Withdrawing NASS Election Petition
L-R: Akpanke, Idagbo

Peter Akpanke, elected to represent Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has commended Ochiglegor Idagbo, who presently represents the constituency in the National Assembly, “for the wisdom, political maturity and the spirit of sportsmanship he has genuinely displayed” in withdrawing the election petition he filed against him before the National Assembly and State Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal, sitting in Calabar.

In a message of appreciation addressed to Idagbo, Akpanke wrote that Idagbo’s “action is exemplary and deeply appreciated. I fervently pray that God in his infinite goodness, will continue to bless and reward him abundantly in his strides.”

He also wholeheartedly pledged to represent OBO Federal Constituency “with unblemished commitment” while appealing “for the cooperation and support of all OBO constituents, so that we may be enabled to work and navigate the collective ambitions of our cherished Federal Constituency to the next positive and laudable level.”

Idagbo, in a Notice of Withdrawal, dated April 3rd, 2023, stated clearly he “…intends to wholly discontinue this petition”, putting to bed a matter that was suppose to distract both actors.
