“Only those on essential duties, such as medical personnel, accredited election observers and security personnel, will be permitted to move within restricted areas. All other movements within the state are prohibited during this period.”

“Members of the public are urged to adhere strictly to this directive and avoid any actions that may disrupt the peace or compromise the success of the elections. The Police Command will work closely with sister security agencies to enforce this restriction and to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the election period.”

The release further states that: “The Commissioner of Police appeals to all citizens to remain law-abiding and cooperate fully with the law enforcement agencies and assures the public of the Command’s commitment to a peaceful and credible election process in Cross River State.”
