Judicial Commission Invites Memoranda On NDDC Project Disruption In Calabar

Posted on June 19, 2025June 19, 2025 By Admin No Comments on Judicial Commission Invites Memoranda On NDDC Project Disruption In Calabar

Following the alleged disruption of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, project events in Calabar, the Cross River State government has instituted a judicial service commission to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the incident.

The Judicial Commission, according to a statement signed by its secretary, Stella A. Iki, is calling for public memoranda, even as it aims to determine responsibility and to avoid a recurrence.

Accordingly, the general public is invited to submit memoranda addressing issues such as the authenticity of project ownership, damages incurred, and identification of those behind the disruption. The Commission will also recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.

Iki says the memoranda, which should be typed in ten copies, are to be submitted to the Chairman via the Office of the Attorney-General, Cross River State Ministry of Justice, Calabar, by June 25, 2025.

The public hearings are expected to follow shortly afterwords.
