Copy of NEW LOGO OF CRSThe Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Stephen Bate, has assured contractors bidding for the Ikot Anwatim Gully Erosion site of transparency in the bid process.
Bate gave the assurance during the bid opening ceremony for the Ikot Anwatim Gully Erosion site organized by the World Bank Assisted Nigeria Erosion and Water shed Management Project (NEWMAP).
The Permanent Secretary thanked the participating contractors for having faith in the Government of Senator Liyel Imoke and the Ministry of Environment and wished the contractors success at the end of the exercise.

Declaring the bid open, the state Coordinator of the Project, Fidelix Anukwa while reminding bidders of the bidding requirements, stressed the importance of the exercise which according to him, would lead to the final selection of the successful company to execute the job. He added that, out of twenty three companies that applied, only twelve finally met the bid deadline.
Umolo Ugwah, the Procurement Consultant, listed Zennith Construction Limited, John Davis Construction Limited, CCC Construction, AG Vision Construction, MEGALO Construction Engineering and Schwe Kristoffel as well as H&M Nig. Ltd Construction SMACH Nig. Limited, IECS Ltd/Pauliza Nig. Ltd COTABS Engineering Ltd, RHINO Construction Ltd and Samchess Nig. Limited, as the companies pre-qualified.
The World Bank is intervening in five erosion sites in Cross River State; Ikot Ekpo in 8 miles, Nyangasang, Edimotop, Atakpa and Ikot Anwatim. Three sites have already been awarded to contractors, while the processes for the other are ongoing.
