logoThe Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rescheduled the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) across all the Polling Units in Cross River State to hold from Friday, 15th to Sunday, 17th August, 2014, for the PVCs and from Wednesday, and 20th to Monday, 25th August, 2014, for the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CRV) respectively.

In this regard, the Government of Cross River State hereby enjoins all Nigerians residing in the State and Cross Riverians in particular, to brace up and participate effectively in this very important civic exercise as stipulated. Accordingly, all those who were registered during the 2011 Voters Registration exercise are hereby implored to return to the Polling Units where they were registered, with the TEMPORAL VOTERS’ RIGISTRATION SLIPS for the collection of their Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) from 8.00 am to 6.pm daily within the period stipulated being 15th to 17th August, 2014.

All those that did not register during the 2011 Voters Registration Exercise, including those who have now attained 18 years of age and above are kindly requested to turn out en-masse for the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) Exercise from Wednesday, 20th to Monday, 25th August, 2014, in all the designated registration areas located across the 196 Political Wards in the eighteen Local Government Areas of the State.

All those eligible for the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) exercise are to note that they are expected to come along with any of the following identification documents; National Identity Card, National Passport, National Drivers Licence, Birth or Baptism Certificate and any other document that proves the identity, age and nationality of the applicant.

The collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) are very important civic national duties which are crucial to the furtherance of our fast emerging democracy in Nigeria. As Nigerians, this is a civic obligation we owe the State. Do not give false information or engage in double registration. It is an offence to prevent someone from registering.

Your Voters Card is your power, get it today to enable you participate in future elections.

Commissioner for Information
