The Cross River State chapter of De Norsemen Club of Nigeria, a not for profit organization, registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, with registration number, 7458, will later today in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, flag off what it describes as her “1st State Wide Converge”
A letter signed by the Guvnor of the CRS chapter of the organization, John Otu Agba, indicates that “the state-wide converge will attract a broad spectrum of members from across the entire state to argue on and articulate viable socio-political and economic options that can be explored in the interest of members and for the benefit of Cross River state”. The letter added that, “in the present circumstance, organisations like ours are charting a potent course in the march to the Cross River of our dreams”.
While in Ugep, the organization will pay a courtesy call on the Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr LGA, Obol Ubi Ujong Ina, carry out a visitation to one motherless babies home and have a public lecture at the Ivany Hotel, Ugep, to be delivered by Dr. Emmanuel Akpan of the University of Calabar. This converge is expected to prepare members of the organization in Cross River State for the 6th international converge of the organization holding at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers State from the 11th to 13th December, 2014.
Meanwhile the President of Crosslina Flotilla, the Yakurr, Abi, Obubra and Biase chapter of the organization, Dr. Omini Eteng informed www.calitown.com early this morning that as “host of the converge, we are delighted to welcome our brothers to the oldest Flotilla in CRS. At the end of the day, our deliberations will be far reaching and help us position this organization for the next phase of our growth”.
