House Of Reps Member Splashes Cash, Gifts On Community

Posted on September 14, 2018 By Admin No Comments on House Of Reps Member Splashes Cash, Gifts On Community
Jarigbe Agom

We have reliably gathered that Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, today released  N500,000 naira cash and gifts to the Bakor Central Planning Committee, Ogoja Local Government Area, as the community marks her 2018 Ishibori new yam festival.

Additionally,  N250, 000 naira in cash was also made available for putting together a football competition at the festival which promises to draw sons and daughters of the area home to celebrate the annual festival. Already, our stringer on the ground in the area has just called in to say there has been a noticeable influx of people to the area.

Jarigbe who spoke with www.calitown.com earlier today from his Abuja base said “it is the little I can do to my people on this festival. It is not a political gift, but a demonstration if the fact that I must identify with my people especially during celebrations like this. My prayer is that God will bless, protect and keep our people. This must be for us a period where we will all share the little we have to the glory of God.”

The very proactive member of parliament is running for a second term in office in next year’s general election. The festival will hold  this weekend in the area.
