The six-day Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Computer-based Tests, CBT, training organized by philanthropist and community development advocate, Henry Dennis Bassey, came to a close today, March 28, 2026, at Kubam Hall, Ediba, Abi LGA, Cross River State.
The event saw a massive turnout mainly from five Abi LGA communities; Ediba, Igonigoni, Abeugo, Afafanyi, Akpoza, and Ebom.
At the training, three students impressively scored 289 points in the mock test, and the CBT app was installed and subscribed for them for further practice.
The class leader and several participants expressed gratitude to Bassey, who also holds the traditional title of “Ovai Otorikang I of Bahumono nation”, for bringing e-learning to their doorsteps. “Since the history of politics in Abi LGA, no politician has shown this kind of benevolence,” the class leader said, praying for their benefactor’s success and well-being.
Meanwhile, while students and community members alike eagerly anticipate the next phase of training, Bassey’s team announced that the training will continue on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Comprehensive Secondary School Nko, Yakurr LGA, as part of ongoing efforts to support education in Abi/Yakurr constituency.
The training, which started on March 23, targets the equipment of students with CBT skills for JAMB exams to follow shortly.
