ADVERTORIAL: Is Cross River’s Purported PDP ‘Executive’ Fraudulent?…YES!

Posted on May 25, 2020 By Admin No Comments on ADVERTORIAL: Is Cross River’s Purported PDP ‘Executive’ Fraudulent?…YES!

Some weeks ago, a few notable elements from Cross River State attempted to falsify the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wards and Chapter executive list for Cross River State. Despite their swift rejection by the PDP National Working Committee in a public document that has been widely circulated, they have gone back to a weak drawing board, and are at something ignoble again.

We have information at our disposal that the purported Ward and Local Govt factional executive of the People’s Democratic Party in Cross River State, which the National working Committee of the Party rejected is still struggling to fill forms for the concluded contest for which an executive has already been sworn in and endorsed by the NWC as “Authentic”. If the guidelines for the conduct of party activities is anything to go by, one would consider such an activity as madness.

Most importantly this goes to establish to party members and the general public how fraudulent the said purported factional executive is and how ill prepared the Ayade faction of the party remains because they DID NOT envisage any contest from any quarters. They believed that they would simply write names, without even filling the necessary nomination forms and become the Exco of the Party.

It can be recalled that even at the venue of the screening of state officers the said factional contestants were still filling their nomination forms contrary to the party guidelines.

It has become imperative to bring to the notice of the National Working Committee of the party that whoever is advising these illegal activities and still selling forms to them long after the contest and inauguration of the Authentic Executive is promoting crisis within the party that will bode no one any good and will be met with the highest resistance from the authentic and functional party executive as already sworn in.

We believe that having inaugurated the executive their paymasters should advise them to accept the outcome of the exercise, reconcile with the authentic Executive and begin the hard work of positioning the party for future elections.

I am Richard Bassey Etim, a concerned card carrying PDP member.
