Again, HIT FM Calabar Is Most Listened To Radio Station

Posted on March 27, 2019March 28, 2019 By Admin 1 Comment on Again, HIT FM Calabar Is Most Listened To Radio Station

We can reveal that for a third year in a row, Calabar’s first private radio station, HIT 95.9 FM, has been rated as the most listened to radio station in Nigeria’s South South region.

The AMPS result.

A radio listenership survey of the region conducted by rating firm, Media Planning Services, MPS, and just released, sees HIT FM, Calabar’s listenership tower over the likes of Inspiration FM, Uyo, RayPower FM, Port Harcourt, Wazobia FM, among others.

Patrick Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the 24-hour radio station, when contacted by www.calitown.com to react said, “…we give God all the glory for this feat, and we thank all our listeners who have consistently kept us in number one since inception three years ago. It’s all about consistency, and we have created programmes that have consistently connected with our listeners. We have consistently stuck to our mantra of delivering “Best Music, Best Talk”, which we believe has endeared us to a greater percentage of the population across the state and region. We have also been able to give back to them through our CSR projects/programmes, as well as the unique events which they connect with.”

He went on to say that, the station has “… a young, creative, professional and dedicated team of staff who have given their all to ensure that we have attained this feat. I can’t thank them enough. I can only say that the best is yet to come, and we shall continue to raise the bar to ensure that we bring quality entertainment and information to our wonderful listeners.”

Media Planning Services, MPS, provides sales proprietary media audience data for use by media planning and buying agencies. The data provides insights on the viewing and listening habits of a particular audience and their preferences.

Since she began operations three years ago on February 1, 2016, HIT FM, Calabar, has redefined radio broadcasting in the South South region of Nigeria with her incisive news reporting, top draw music played as well as the professionalism that the station seamlessly offers.
