Ayade’s Chief Of Staff, Martin Orim, Donates Cash/ Gifts To The Needy

Posted on January 1, 2017 By Admin No Comments on Ayade’s Chief Of Staff, Martin Orim, Donates Cash/ Gifts To The Needy

With a cross section of disabled persons in Obudu
Martin Orim, Chief of Staff to Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, www.calitown.com can reveal, made pit stops at a few hospitals in Obudu, North of Cross River State, to visit the sick and also made cash donations to them as a philantrophic gesture in commemoration of the yuletide season. The Obudu branch of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, were also not left out as several of them recieved cash and loads of food items as Orim played host to them.

Over the phone, the Chief of Staff said his decision to carry out this gesture was borne out of his desire to comfort the sick and afflicted. He maintained that “in a period like the one upon us, while many have so much at their disposal, the category of persons that I have freely elected to help in my own little way, often have nothing to eat or even smile about. Because their plight pricks my conscience, I have travelled from Calabar to be with them and help put smiles on their faces”.

A few disabled persons who spoke to our reporter in the area praised God for blessing them through Orim and further prayed that God will replenish his pockets so that he can do more for the CR society.
