Just minutes ago, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Ben Ayade and Goddy Jedy Agba in separate phone calls to www.crossriverwatch.com and www.calitown.com, informed that contrary to what political watchers may be thinking, both have committed to working together in the interest of peace to take Cross River State to the next level. Particularly, Agba said he will not contest in court, the process that threw up Ayade as the PDP flag bearer, neither will he switch to another party to contest the election.

Ayade who sounded very emotional on the line said he was humbled by the singular fact that Agba called him up this morning to congratulate him on his emergence. Hear him, “…me and Goddy spoke this morning and he amazed me with his brotherhood talk. He said it is God that gives power. He said he asked for the position, I also asked for it but God choose only one of us and he is even going to put his resources together and work with me to make the process a success… He also insists I should not listen to any blackmail or gossip, he is not going to court, he is not going to another party, he is working to make sure that we succeed”.

On the intrigues that accompanied the political process, Ayade said, “the intrigues were very high and brought our docile state to limelight, all those who took part in it helped to make it the success it has been. Now, I will urge a lot of people to reverse positions and support me because I don’t discriminate, everybody should streamline and work so that we can make CR a masterpiece and an exemplary departure from what has been”.

“Florence Ita-Giwa has called in to congratulate me, Donald Duke has sent me a congratulatory text, Bassey Otu, and Gershom Bassey”, Ayade concluded.

    Dear Senator. Ayade
    PDP Governorship-Elect:
Please accept my warm congratulations on your victory and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges ahead.
As you embark on campaign upon your new responsibilities, I wish to assure you and the people of katchuan Irruan Community of the continued friendship and sympathetic interest of the Boki people.
I have followed your career for years and was excited to read about your recent political victory of PDP primaries. You have always impressed me with your clear vision and ability to get the job done against the most formidable opposition.
I hope you will continue to work for increased funding for our public schools, Agricultural development, human development, etc.
I look forward to working with you not only to develop closer relations between our state but also to concert our efforts in the cause of peace and the brotherhood of all peoples..

I wish you the best my GOVERNOR
