A Toyota Corolla vehicle registered with ride hailing company, Bolt, was  Tuesday night snatched at gun point from a male driver along Yellow Duke by Atakpa street in Calabar the Cross River capital.

According to another Bolt driver conversant with the development, the car was snatched around 9.30PM after the ride was ordered and some young men who boarded the cab, snatched the vehicle and took it to a yet-to-be-known destination after scaring the driver and passersby with gun shots in the air.

The affected driver was said to be stranded and crying after the incident. Sources in Calabar are insisting that the car is likely to be dismembered and sold off as scrap metal.

Meanwhile, 17 Bolt cabs were allegedly snatched in the month of April this year in Calabar; while, one  Bolt cab driver was allegedly stabbed at the Federal Housing axis of the state capital in the same month of April. The vehicle number of the snatched vehicle was unavailable at press time.
