BREAKING: Trailer Crush Three In Dawn Accident

Posted on April 14, 2014 By Admin No Comments on BREAKING: Trailer Crush Three In Dawn Accident

In what is rightly a scene of sorrow, tears and blood, lots of people are still crying and wailing in Ugep, Yakurr LGA following the early morning crushing to death of three persons, a motorcyclist and the two female passengers he was carrying.

Eye witnesses say the trailer, coming from Calabar may have been speeding and realised very late that the cyclist had trafficated and entered the road. Within seconds “a loud bang was heard and when we ran to the scene, close to the Institute of Technology and Management, one of the girls was lying flat on the highway with one leg severed from the body”, a source told www.calitown.com. The other girl and the cyclist lay stone dead on opposite sides of the road as more people poured in to try and rescue the situation. “These girls were going to catch a car to the Monday market in Ikom where they buy second hand clothes and come and sell in Ugep. O God, what kind of life is this”, a relative of one of the girls mouthed in between sobs. Police and Road Safety officials were just arriving the scene at the time of going to press.
