During a visit to the Clan Head of Ikot Ishie community Etubom Effiom Okon Effiom, and members of the Ishie Town Council, Calabar Municipal Council chairman, James Anam has announced plans to upgrade the Ikot Ishie market to a modern one, as a key campaign promise he made to the community.

Anam at the visit, sought the support of the Clan Head and Town Council for the project, which he described as the first major initiative of his administration.

The Clan Council, represented by two chiefs, Eta Uso and Felix Nsemo, expressed gratitude towards the plans and pledged their support, while offering prayers for the chairman’s success. Deputy Chairman of the council, Okon Nyong, added that this project is part of several initiatives planned by the Anam administration.
